Biographies

William was baptised 10th June 1821 in St Peters Church, Roydon, Essex, England. He was the son of William Skipp born 1798 and Honor Banks born 1800. He was one of 7 children born to the above couple. His Grandfather was James Skipp born 1768 and his great grandfather was John Skipp born c1732. All bar John born in Roydon, Essex. He was convicted for housebreaking and stealing £60 and a pair of shoes. He had prior convictions for poaching 3 times before. No indication that he returned to England when the sentance had been served.
