Biographies

Elizabeth was 18 years old when she was tried at the Warwick Assizes on 7th August 1787 along with Hannah Bolton. They were found guilty and sentenced to transportation for seven years. A few months after arriving in Sydney aboard the Lady Juliana, Elizabeth was placed aboard the Surprize and taken to Lord Howe Island. Elizabeth met and married Michael Nowland on 5th November 1790. They returned to Sydney late 1799, eventually settling in Wilberforce.
