Biographies

Mary spent her time at the Parramatta Female Factory from 1823 to 1826. She married James Halpin at St. Mary's Church, Sydney on 25 Jan 1826 and was on a bond at the time. Together James and Mary made Dapto Illawarra their home, firstly by renting a property, and later received a 50 acre land grant. They had a son, Michael. Another son, Patrick, is thought to have been James son born in Limerick, Ireland.
