Married Phoebe Stirrup (convict alias Elizabeth Harrison) in Christ Church Newcastle 2 Sep 1832 as Amos Cowles. NSW BDM V18321206 16/1832

Birth of daughter 9 May 1833 named Harriet Cole. NSW BDM V1833735 17/1833. It appears they were trying to escape their convict past by living as Mr & Mrs Cole.

No record of death at NSW BDM however his headstone at Kayuga (Muswellbrook) reveals he died 17 Nov 1833. The headstone name is Amos Cowles.
