William arrived in the colony in 1810 on board the ship "Indian" He was sentenced to transportation for life. Married Isabella Brown 7 Sept 1812 by Samuel Marsden

In 1818 William was granted a conditional pardon, in 1829 he wrote to the Govenor for a 50 acre grant, as he was renting a farm, had a wife and 4 children, also the District Constable at Pennant Hills
