Biographies

Patrick King is my step great great grandfather. In 1855 Patrick married my great great grandmother Flora Carr nee McGillis at Burrowa after her husband Daniel (who was also a convict) died in 1852. Patrick fathered Flora & Daniel's four children as well as four more children born to his marriage to Flora.
Patrick was born about 1825 in County Galway, Ireland.
In January 1848 Patrick was convicted at Galway City for stealing a cow. He was sentenced to seven years transportation, arriving in NSW November 1849 and assigned to the district of Bathurst. In 1850 he was reassigned to the Murrumbidgee district.
Patrick died 1882 and is buried in the Roman Catholic section of Young Cemetery, New South Wales.
