Francis was born about 1803 & christened 2 Oct 1803 Parish Church Cuby with Tregony Cornwall the fifth of eight children of Francis Dorrington & Elizabeth Reynolds

Francis was tried & convicted in Cornwall Assizes on 24 March 1831 for stealing broadcloth & other items of William Sowden, he was sentenced to 7 years transportation
