Biographies

Robert Ashford was tried and convicted at Cambridge Assizes Court 6 August 1821 for house breaking and was sentenced to transportation for life. With convict indent #1602 he arrived at Hobart VDL 22 May 1822 per 'Phoenix'(1) from Portsmouth 5 January 1822. He married 21 June 1836 Sarah Cooper (c1815-1864) (convict per 'Frances Charlotte' 1833) at the Schoolhouse Campbelltown Tas.
