Biographies

Jew Boys bushrangers; this group stole and terrorised people as they moved about in areas west of Newcaslte (Maitland, Dungog Scone etc) till their actions led to the shooting murder of a shopkeeper John Graham at Scone on 21 December 1840. Richard was a member of the gang along with George Wilkinson alias Edward Davis "Camden 1833", Robert Chitty "Sophia 1829", James Everett "mangles 1833", John Shea "Calcutta 1837" & John Marshall "Clyde 1832". Authorities quickly formed and chased down the gang till they were all captured an bought to trial at Supreme Court on 24 February 1841.
