John was tried and convicted at Northumberland Newcastle upon Tyne Quarter Sessions on 4 April 1832 of "theft" and sentenced ton7 years transportation

John arrived Sydney aged about 21 aboard Asia on 27 June 1833 with his Indent showing trade as"sailor".
