Joseph was born about 1797 Gloucester and was convicted at Gloucester Assizes on 31 March 1813 and sentenced to 7 years transportation, he arrived Sydney aboard General Hewitt on 7 February 1814

Joseph had Conditional Pardon dated 31 January 1818 and Certificate of Freedom 25/5880 dated 21 December 1826

Joseph and Patrick Troy (unidentified) were both convicted on 30 September 1828 of forgery house deed of a deceased person "Patrick MacKew" and both sentenced to death.
