Patrick was born about 1811 Kilkenny and convicted of "stealing" at Kilkenny Ireland in 1826 and sentenced to 7 years transportation.

Patrick arrived Sydney aged 15 aboard Boyne on 26 October 1826 with his Indent showing alias " Coffey, Cuff, Cuffey " and trade "shopkeeper".

Patrick and John Toole were convicted on 23 February 1838 of steal from dwelling of William Vivers at Hunter River and place occupants in fear and sentenced to death.
