John was born about 1811 Ireland and was convicted at Dublin Ireland of "steal coat" in 1828 and sentenced ton7 years transportation

John arrived Sydney aged 18 aboard Sophia on 17 January 1829 with his Indent showing two former convictions and trade"carpenters apprentice".

John was convicted in 1833!of highway robbery of Thomas Groom on 3 December 1832 at Argyle and also William Bradbury at Bungunnia NSW and sentenced to death.
