Worked as a stewart to a gentleman farmer in Christchurch, Hampshire.

Tried at Winchester on 5-3-1827.
Convicted of 'Assault with intent to rob'. Sentence of 14 years.

Arrived on the Asia (3) on 7-12-1827.

Assigned as a convict to Captain Bell, a merchant at Weston Lodge, New Town.

Received 25 lashes on 29th Nov 1828 for disobedience.

In 1829 Thomas applied to have his family join him in VDL.

They appear in the 1839 VDL census

Received a free certificate in 1845.

In 1851 Thomas is described as a farmer.
