Biographies

William Archer was 14 years old when he was convicted house breaking on 20 March 1828 and sentenced to death. This was commuted to transportation to
VDL on the ship "Bussorah Merchant" arriving 18 January 1830. On 17 April 1839 he married Marian Wilson in Launceston, Tasmania and had 5 children.
William died in Launceston on 21 April 1891 and was buried at Cypress Street Cemetery.
