Must have learnt a trade at this time- becoming blacksmith afterwards

Married Margaret Morrison on 11 August 1828 at St Marys Catholic church
His father in law Frances Morrison was granted land in Clarence Lane in about 1828 where Charles began business as blacksmith or tinsmith,
His brother Samuel joined him as tinsmith for a few years

Business flourished, children born, houses bought in local area
Land transferred from brother (colonial records)in Parramatta Rd in about 1841
