Biographies

Thomas LAWRENCE was christened 3 0ct 1790 in Rainham, Kent, England. He was most likely the son of Peter Lawrence and Hannah Manners.
Thomas married Abigail FURELL daughter of John FURELL and Susan on 16 Aug 1812 in Milton Next Sittingbourne, Kent, England. They had a family of a daughter and two sons all of whom were born at Rainham. On the marriage certificates of his sons he was recorded as been employed as a Brick maker and as a Labourer.
On the 12th March 1838 at Mainstone Assizes he was convicted and sentenced for life. He was transported in to Australia on the "Coromandel" leaving Sheerness 12 June 1838 and arriving on 26 October 1838. He died on 25 Mar 1840 in Tasmania, Australia.
