Winery is nestled amid rolling pastures in the Historic Macarthur
district, one hour south west of Sydney. A natural rural setting to enjoy
wine tasting. The convict built Coach
House now the Cellar Door for Gledswood Wines carrying on a proud
tradition, of both the property and the owners the Testoni Family. Grapes
where grown in colonial times and wine produced. Fred Testoni’s dream
was to bring his winery to Gledswood and although Fred is no longer with
us there is still a Gledswood Label. The cellar door offers a
good selection of red and white table wines along with a few ports. Wine
to not to be missed are Cabernet Merlot and Traminer. Gledswood’s Country
Eating House is open every day with tender juicy steaks, fresh garden
salads and classic at sensible out-of-town prices. Also popular is
Christmas In Winter and Gledswood’s Lantern Light Ghost Tours ideal for
group functions. A visit to Gledswood is not
complete without a tour of the homestead and gardens. The convict
built sandstone homestead completed in 1829 by James Chisholm, relives the
history and grandeur of a bygone era. Gledswood is open 7
