Biographies

Thomas Samuel RUTTER was born about 1790 in Sussex, ENG, UK (son of Thomas RUTTER) and tried 11 Sep 1822 in Old Bailey, London, ENG, UK, for Larceny (one coat value 6s, one pair breeches value 4s). He was sentenced to 7 Years, transported 26 Aug 1823 on “Henry” as a convict and assigned to Joseph Thew. He was then assigned on 1 Nov 1828 to Jas. T Lamb, Belin, Hunter River. His ticket of leave was granted on 11 Sep 1829. On 9 Mar 1832 he married Isabella FERRIER in Newcastle, NSW and they settled in Morpeth NSW. His occupation was Bootmaker. Thomas died on 25 Nov 1863 in Morpeth, NSW, cause of death - Disease of the heart. He was buried on 26 Nov 1863 in Wesleyan Cemetary, Morpeth, NSW,
