John was born about 1803 Clare County Ireland and was convicted in 1829 at Limerick Ireland of "steal sheep" and sentenced ton7 years transportation.

John arrived Sydney aged 26 aboard Larkins on 8 November 1829 with his Indent showing married with one child and trade "ploughman".

John was convicted on 9 February 1833 of murdering John Kenyon ( unidentified convict) on 21 November 1832 at Bathurst and sentenced to death. Source; Sydney Moniter 9 February 1833 page 2
