Biographies

Sarah arrived in Australia with her two youngest daughters Mary Ann and Elizabeth, Sarah had been sentenced to 7 years transportation for stealing fabric/clothes. Shortly after she arrived she met William Marsh and applied for permission to marry, permission was granted and they married on the 26th December 1837. The day before Sarah's third eldest daughter Catherine had arrived aboard the Sir Charles Forbes convict ship, Catherine had been transported for 'Larceny'. Sarah died in the Hyde Park Lunatic Assylum in 1873 and is buried at 'Necropolis' Rookwood Cemetery.
