MILESTONES - PUTTING YOUR HAWKESBURY ANCESTORS INTO CONTEXT by Michelle Nichols

FAMILY HISTORY CLASSES

The Hawkesbury Library will be holding the following family history classes at the Hawkesbury Central Library. Classes are suitable for beginners or persons wanting a refresher course.

MAKING SENSE OF THE CENSUS ~ Thursday 18 April 6.30pm-8.30pm
This session will focus on the UK & Australian census and how to incorporate the results in your family history research.

ADVANCED STRATEGIES FOR FAMILY HISTORY ~ Tuesday 14 May 6.30-8.30pm
An innovative session that will focus on creating profiles, producing timelines and plotting ancestors. Suitable for family historians wanting to enhance their research

Reminder - There's Nothing Like Australia's Heritage: Community Milestones 18 April - 18 May 2013 HERITAGE FESTIVAL

Tuesday April 23 Rookwood Cemetery guided tour

Hawkesbury Historical Society is running a Bus Trip to Rookwood Cemetery for a guided tour by Friends of Rookwood. Depart Windsor Bowling Club at 8.30am for 10am tour. Cost $33.00 per person which includes bus fare, tour cost and lunch. Little walking but comfortable shoes are essential. BYO morning tea.This is an excellent opportunity to learn some of the history of this Sleeping Suburb followed by lunch of sandwiches, cake, juice and tea or coffee at the beautiful Reflections at Rookwood Cafe. Please book and pay via Kath Wilkins, PO Box 293 Windsor 2756. You may also phone Kath on 4577 3842 to make other arrangements to pay. As seating is limited payment must accompany a booking.

Descendants of John Grono & Elizabeth Bristow (arrived Buffalo 1799) are invited to attend the Family Reunion on Sunday 5 May 2013 from 10am in the grounds of Ebenezer Uniting Church, Coromandel Road, Ebenezer NSW.
