INFORMATION

FAMILY HISTORY CLASSES

Forthcoming classes at the library include:

  • Using Census and Electoral rolls to build your family tree - Thursday  20th May
  • Shipping records in family history research - Thursday 17th June
  • Newspapers or historical research - Thursday 8th July

PASSING OF DR REX STUBBS

We note the death of Dr Rex Stubbs 1950-2010 on the 24th April 2010. He was Councillor of Hawkesbury City Council and President of the Hawkesbury Historical Society. Rex was also a descendant of a number of Hawkesbury families including the Stubbs and Wilbow families and had a strong interest in the heritage of the Hawkesbury. Our sympathies to Linda and her family.

EVERINGHAM & JONES ENQUIRY

Researcher Peter Nixon is seeking information about Elizabeth Annie Everingham, born Sackville Reach.  Parents were William & Elizabeth.  In 1873 Elizabeth married Edward Ephraim Jones. On the 17 February 1873 Elizabeth gave birth to a daughter Florence Jones, on Florence's  birth certificate transcript is shows her middle name as Louise/Louisa. Can anyone helps with additional information?

WILLIAM BAKER REUNION 26th June 2010

All descendants of William BAKER - convict arrived Sydney Cove 1790 on the Neptune are invited to the inaugural Reunion to be held on 26th June 2010 from 10am at St Matthews Church of England, Windsor NSW.
