Biographies

Joseph was born in Benenden, Kent, England in 1824, the son of Joseph Shoobridge and Ann Kadwell. He was tried in 1840 for Burglary and sentenced to 15 years transportation.
He was mentioned, in 1842, in letters sent by a relative, William Oxley. He wrote: "Shoebridge, I expect, went to Van Dieman land, as no convicts come here"
He received his ticket of leave in 1850.
