Biographies

George Coker was born in Harefield Middlesex UK in 1824. At the age of 14 he was convicted of the manslaughter, by stabbing, of Moses Gates a fish costamonger on Saturday 3rd August 1839.The crime was widley reported on and the sentance of transportation for life was considered too servere. The Judge said he was setting an example so as to stop the growing knife crime in the UK.
