As part of the celebration both Daniel & Elizabeth's headstones were restored & a plaque placed at each site. The aim of the Association is to continue researching the history & restore aging & damaged headstones, locate unmarked graves & place a plaque at each site. The current project of the Association is the restoration of the headstones of Moses & Sarah Walters (nee Jurd) Henry & Mary Ann Walker (nee Jurd) both at St. Albans New General Cemetery. The cost of these projects is in the vicinity of $2200 & the Association is seeking donations from "Jurd Descendants" to assist with the project.
