Message from Maureen Gibbs (Melbourne)

I'd like to wish all the members of the Hawkesbury Family History Group a very happy 25th.  While I've not been able to attend meetings for the last 8 years (living in Perth and now Melbourne) I've eagerly read all the "Criers" sent me.  Everyone involved in creating each newsletter, "Crier" and internet site are to be commended.  They do a great job and I'd be pleased if you would pass on my thanks for many a great read. A quick glance at the first few pages showed that you mentioned some members who had passed away over the years.  I'd like to mention another member who passed away just a couple of weeks ago, Joan Hillman (or Castro).  Although I believe she wasn't a member for the last few years Joan was very interested in the history of the Hawkesbury.  After leaving Kurrajong Heights she lived in The Terrace and also one of the flats next to the cemetery in George Street.  She moved from the district to Parklea and then to Lapstone.
