EVENTS

Next family history class at the Library is "Blogging and family history" we will show you how useful they are and help you set one up. Class is $10 and book at Information Desk in Library or phone 4560 4460 email history@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au

Dr Perry McIntyre will be talking to the group on Irish female emigration in August. We also have a few additional events to celebrate Family History Month.

NEWS

GEOFF MORLEY RIP

One of our members Geoff Morley, was tragically killed in on Easter Saturday in a car accident on the North Coast. He was at the April meeting and very happy chatting to friends. We will send a card to the family on behalf of the Group.

NEW MATERIAL

A new book on Penrith by Lorraine Stacker has been received and currently being catalogued, watch this space for when it arrives on the shelves. Also Marion Starr’s book on James Gough.

SURFING THE INTERNET...SITES FOR FAMILY HISTORIANS

Members with internet access should check out the following interesting sites. The Library has free access to the internet, contact 4560 4460 for bookings at Windsor & 4578 2002 for Richmond bookings. If you have your own laptop we also have free wireless. The password is available from the Information Desk.
