Son of John Jones & Elizabeth Petchey. Married Mary Prayle (Plail, Praal) 1830. 7 children. Edward convicted 1839 for 10 years, held on hulk 'York' for 2 years 9 months then transported 1842 aboard 'Marquis of Hastings' to Tasmania. Died c. age 72 1871 Launceston, Tasmania.
