Biographies

William Boxall was born (1802) in Fernhurst, Sussex, England to Richard Boxall and Sarah Smithers. He married Jane Glacier in 1822 at Fernhurst. They had 10 children. On 1 July 1852 he was convicted of stealing a cow, and sentenced to transportation for 14 years. He was held on the hulks (?) until 2 Feb 1855 when he left on 'Stag', arriving in Western Australia on 23 May 1855. His convict reg no is 3356. He was assigned to public works and held tickets of leave. He died on 13 Mar 1870 at Newcastle Depot, (now called Toodyay) I haven't found his pardon date as yet. William was my ggg grandfather.
