Samuel was tried and convicted  at Middlesex Gaol Delivery on 1 December 1831 of "house breaking" and sentenced to 7 years transportation

Samuel arrived Sydney aged about 19 aboard Lady Harewood on 5 August 1832 with his Indent showing trade "tailor"
