A summary biography of Charles Connelly ( his preferred spelling of his own name) listed in Hawkesbury index as ‘Charles Conolly’, Fortune 1806, can be found in the article ‘John Eddington and John Connelly: Stepbrothers of Uncertain Degree’, (2025) 72 no3, December, Tasmanian Historical Research Association, Papers and Proceedings by Ian Leader-Elliott and Steve Bourchier. The ‘John Connelly’ of the title was the putative son of Charles Connelly, born in Sydney, c1810.
