Biographies

Born in London in 1821. Tried at Old Bailey, London on 13 May 1839. He was found guilty and sentenced to be transported for 21 years. He arrived in Australia on 27 February 1840. He was sent to New South Wales.

Research notes

Another James Holliday who was convicted of a similar crime arrived in Australia in 1844 on the Maitland (2). He was sent to Van Diemens Land.
