Biographies

An entry regarding the Trial of JOHN WILLIAMS at Brecon on the 4 August 1848 was found in the “Monmouthshire Merlin” on the 12 August 1848 (See the National Library of Wales Newspaper site)

“John Williams”, aged 35, pleaded guilty to stealing a bay mare, the property of Mr Lewis, of Llanvihangel Talyllyn – Sentenced to seven years transportation.

Llanfihangel Talyllyn is to the East of Brecon Town and is in the "Community" or parish of Llangors.

The above information was obtain by Kerry through Alan Dolben. A fellow researcher whose DNA came up as a match as a possible 5th – 8th distant cousin.
