William was born about 1794 Roscommon Ireland and was convicted in Antrim in 1827 of "rob person" and sentenced to 7 years transportation.

William arrived Sydney aged 34 aboard Morley on 3 Mar 1828 with his Indent showing alias "Boles" and trade farmer & married with four children; Name William Finias Bowles" is evidenced later records
