Edward was born about 1811 Waterford Ireland and was convicted at London England in 1827 of "steal clothes" and sentenced to 7 years transportation

Edward arrived Sydney aged 17 aboard Hooghley on 24 February 1828 with his Indent showing trade "tailor".

Edward was convicted on 15 August 1833 of highway robbery of Henry Badgery on 15 April 1833 at Barg. NSW and sentenced to death.
