born about 1803 and baptised 01 July 1804, in Burslem, Staffordshire, England in England.
Parents: John and Mary Hobson (Hopson). Ancestry.com. Staffordshire, England, Extracted Church of England Parish Records, 1538-1839 [database on-line.

Aged 32yrs at his time of conviction.
Occupation: ?labourer

Crime: Larceny.
Trial: Stafford Quarter Sessions 1827, microfilm reel number CY Reel 1085.

Sentence: transportation for 7 years. Ship: ‘Manlius’, sailed 11th April 1827 & arrived NSW 11th August 1827.

Application to marry: INX-68-6925 permission granted 7th January 1835.

GREEN Elizabeth, 24yrs, (born was a convict on the ship ‘Numa’, sentenced to 7 years. Condition: Bond. Arrived 13 June 1834. Elizabeth Green Hobson died 1857 and is buried at Braidwood Cemetery, Queanbeyan–Palerang Regional Council, New South Wales, 2622 Australia
