Biographies

William Henry was born in 1778 in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, to Henry Henry and ?.

1796
When he was 18 years old he belonged to the Royal Marines, London. He served in the 3rd Division on the H.M.S. Duke under Captian Holloway. H.M.S. Duke was attached to the Channel Fleet commanded by Admiral Calpoys.

1797
Served on the H.M.S Flora commanded by Captain Middleton. He also served under Lord Nelson in the Mediterranean and was one of 83 volunteers who cut out the National Brig "La-Laudoir"

7 Mar 1800 • Deptford, Kent, England
William Henry entered and with force stole a purse from a William Fairley of St. Paul Deptford, Kent. The purse contained money in various forms to the value at 12 pounds, 16 shillings and 8 pence.

10 Mar 1800
Taken to Maidstone Gaol and was charged with theft and sentenced to serve 7 years in the new colony of New South Wales, Australia.

Married Jane Carr (Convict)in 1801.
They had 3 children.
He died in 1862, Lane Cove, New South Wales.
